Saint Mary's Joey Fiske went fully airborne for a very impressive run-saving catch
On Friday, the Gaels of Saint Mary's College in Moraga, Calif., defeated the BYU Cougars, 10-3. SMC leadoff hitter Joey Fiske was a big part of the game's results, going 3-for-5 with four RBIs -- but it was some run prevention carried out by Fiske that warrants a special shout-out here.
With runners on first and second in the top of the fifth, Fiske carried out one of those plays that can only be attributed to raw talent and reflexes. Racing over toward left-center in pursuit of a line drive, he closed the gap, took a leap and totally went for it:
