One of Josh Donaldson's foul balls ended up in the lap of a Cincy legend -- Sean Casey
Sean Casey catches a Josh Donaldson foul ball
Over the course of eight years with the Reds, first baseman Sean Casey's bat -- and his willingness to chat up anyone and everyone who reached first -- made him one of the most beloved athletes in Cincinnati. It also earned him a pretty great nickname: The Mayor.
In addition to traditional diplomatic duties like diffusing Pittsburgh-Cincinnati tensions or acting as our nation's ping pong ambassador, the position also apparently entitles Casey to some souvenirs wherever he goes in the Queen City. Like, say, a looooong foul ball from 2015 Home Run Derby contestant Josh Donaldson:
Yes @TheMayorsOffice just caught a ball all the way up here at HR derby! I hid behind him @KMillar15 pic.twitter.com/wCrY2WYBjW
