Sailors and Marines showed their Padres pride aboard the USS San Diego
Remember the first day of your senior year of high school, when you and all your classmates arranged yourselves to spell out the numbers of your graduation year while teachers took pictures from the bleachers? It turns out the military does something similar when they go out on deployment.
On Thursday, the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit took to the deck of the USS San Diego to declare their allegiance to the Padres:

Looking forward to welcoming our #SDMilitary back to San Diego after a 7-month deployment!

Luckily, these Marines will be back from their deployment in time to catch the end of the Padres regular season and, hopefully, enjoy a return to the Postseason. The team spirit they've shown certainly doesn't hurt the cause.
