Rougned Odor greeted Felix Hernandez with a fresh splash of water because friendship is fun
For much of the baseball season, friends have to suit up on opposing teams and try to beat each other on a regular basis. Only one team can win a division, after all, and postseason spots can be elusive. Competition can get intense.
Friendship is also intense, albeit in a different way.
Saturday afternoon's Spring Training game between the Rangers and Mariners at Peoria Stadium had an on-field temperature of roughly 78 degrees. Probably warm enough to warrant some cooling off, right? That's at least what Odor thought when he saw Felix and some other Mariners pitchers heading out to the field before the game, so he helped out as any friend would:
Of course, challenging King Felix like that isn't something done lightly. We've seen Felix spar with his sworn "frenemy" (and Odor's infield teammate)
This is a tale that likely isn't finished.
