Rickey Henderson released the Sharks before an NHL playoff game
"Wait," you might be asking yourself, having read the headline, "Rickey Henderson did what?" After all, you know Henderson was fast on the field, but what was he doing messing around with sharks? Is he trying to race them? Does his land speed translate to the ocean?
Well, don't worry about it too much, because that's "sharks" with a capital "S." Specifically, the San Jose Sharks, who are currently playing the Edmonton Oilers in a best-of-seven series in the first round of the NHL playoffs. Henderson had the honor of opening the locker room door for the team before its game on Sunday:
