Rays give Rivera a sanding ovation with sculpture

As their farewell gift to iconic Yankees closer Mariano Rivera, the Rays unveiled a sand sculpture of "Mo" inside the main entrance at Tropicana Field on Friday. That's right -- a sand sculpture for the "Sandman."

The sculpture was produced for the Rays by Sanding Ovations and will be on display for fans to see throughout the weekend series.

The Rays also put together a video tribute to Rivera that included personal messages from Rays players thanking the longtime closer for his contributions to the game.
