Rally possum makes another appearance in Oakland
Last year in Oakland, the A's met their good-luck charm: a random possum that wandered out into the outfield and ostensibly fueled the team's extra-inning win over the Rays.
It was so integral to their performance that then Athletics pitcher Jeff Samardzija joked that they should get it a uniform.
Fast forward to Tuesday night against the Blue Jays. Former A's third baseman Josh Donaldson was making his first trip back to the Coliseum when that possum (or one of its possum friends) waltzed out into the field.
As it turns out, that possum might just be Donaldson's good luck charm. The former Athletic went 2-for-5 with a double in a 7-1 Jays win.
