The Portland Sea Dogs have some special unis for the 25th anniversary of 'A League of Their Own'
On July 1, 1992, "A League of Their Own" debuted in theaters. It had just about everything you could ask for from a baseball movie: the splits, dueling dugout signals, even Madonna.
And now, in honor of its 25th anniversary, the film is being rewarded with one of baseball's highest honors: its very own Minor League uniform, courtesy of the Portland Sea Dogs:

While most novelty jerseys tend to go as big as possible, the Red Sox Double-A affiliate instead chose to go the more restrained route, mirroring the uniforms worn by the actual All-American Girls Professional Baseball League back in the 1940s -- right down to the logo:
