Rays fans might recognize these mysterious new Tampa Bay Lightning players

Perhaps inspired by Tim Tebow and Joc Pederson , the Rays' Kevin Kiermaier and Jake Odorizzi stepped into a different sport's shoes on Friday. Or should we say … skates?

Kiermaier and Odorizzi visited a Tampa Bay Lightning practice and got all suited up:

It's just a bit different from the outfield grass, huh?
Don't worry, the Rays were completely on board with Odorizzi and Kiermaier's newest venture. They tweeted out a message of support and a video of the whole experience:
