It's only October, but Coors Field is already coated in a beautiful layer of snow

The Rockies nearly defeated the D-backs in the NL Wild Card Game, cutting the lead to 8-7 in the top of the eighth, before eventually losing, 11-8. Had they won, it would have created a bit of an issue for the postseason schedule as the Rockies would have been playing the Dodgers tonight at Coors Field. That ... probably wouldn't have happened:

Of course, perhaps the Rockies could have tried to play through the weather, giving the Denver natives a kind-of-home-field advantage.
Snow has been a bit of a problem for postseason teams in the past -- even without Coors Field's mile-high elevation. Game 5 of the 2008 World Series was postponed first by rain, and then by snow. And the 1997 World Series saw snow flurries during the game

There won't be any threat of foul weather when the Dodgers take on the D-backs for Game 3 of the NLDS presented by T-Mobile. Tune in at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. MST on TBS.
