Home Run Derby champ Pete Alonso nearly hit a baseball right through our TV screens
Pete Alonso, half-man, half-polar bear, defeated the great Vlad Guerrero Jr. in the 2019 T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday night. He hit 57 dingers -- and some may have ended up in another area code.
But the best one, the most jarring whack of the lumber, wasn't a home run at all. It was a blistering line drive up the middle that nearly broke through our TV screens.
