Paul Goldschmidt was an honorary captain at the Arizona Cardinals game

The Arizona Cardinals are quite good this year -- as in, one of the best teams in the NFL that locked up a playoff spot weeks ago. With their splashy offseason thus far, it's clear the D-backs hope to carry the winning vibes in Arizona into 2016 and become one of the best teams in MLB. So, perhaps Paul Goldschmidt dropped by the Cards' final regular-season home game on Sunday in an attempt to absorb some of those vibes and bring them back to Chase Field.

He served as honorary captain for the Cardinals' game against the Seahawks and took the field for the coin toss:

And the first baseman even got a hug from Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who's having something of a career year:

Unfortunately, Goldy might've zapped a bit too much of the Cardinals' winning ways -- Arizona's football team dropped the game, 36-6. As someone who's seen Space Jam and has a working knowledge of the transference of winning powers, I probably should've warned Goldschmidt to wait until after the game.
But as for the University of Phoenix Stadium, having the NL MVP and MVP runner-up visit in a single weekend is pretty impressive in and of itself.
