Patriots' Julian Edelman conquers Green Monster with impressive batting practice power show

Patriots' Day may have taken place back in April, but these past couple of days have seen a pair of New England football stars work visits to Fenway Park into their offseason activities.
Prior to the Red Sox's game with the Giants on Wednesday, wide receiver Julian Edelman showed up for some pregame batting practice fun. And judging by the videos that have surfaced, he's probably just as good at baseball as he is football.
Just look at this visual evidence of Edelman hitting a home run into the Monster Seats atop the Green Monster in left field using Dustin Pedroia's bat:

MLB.com Real-Time Correspondent Quinn Roberts had a chance to ask Edelman some questions, and as it turns out this was an opportune time for him to make a trip to Fenway. You see, he grew up a fan of the team Boston is playing at the moment:
"I was a Giants fan growing up, Sox fan now. This is my NL team. It's going to be cool to stay here and watch the game. You never really see East Coast versus West Coast like this. It's going to be a fun game to watch."
Edelman also said he'd been interested in a visit for some time:
"We've been trying to get this done and coming out to Fenway is like a dream how old it is and get to it some balls. It's been unbelievable."
In addition to his power display at the plate, Edelman showed his chops at shortstop:

And posed for a photo with fellow Kent State alum Travis Shaw:

Between Rob Gronkowski effortlessly throwing strikes on the mound to Edelman playing pepper with the cheap seats, the Patriots have some definite baseball talent on their roster.
