Ozzy Osbourne once led 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' at Wrigley Field, and it was not great
Ozzy Osbourne forgets words during 7th-inning stretch
You may not remember it, but there was a brief moment in American history when the Osbournes ruled the pop culture landscape. The dysfunctinonally-functional family unit owned the airwaves, ushering in an era of family-focused reality entertainment and spurring the creation of an endless bevy of bizarre merchandise like trading cards, posters and, seriously, Matchbox car replicas. Because who doesn't want to pretend to drive Jack Osbourne's Jeep?
One of the greatest cultural memes at the time was Ozzy's strange mumblings. And on Aug. 17, 2003, when he and his wife Sharon attended Wrigley Field, they were on prime display. Whether Ozzy was singing the words and no one could understand them, he had forgotten them and bravely pushed on, or he was just making a postmodern joke about how no one could understand him, perhaps we'll never know.
One person who wasn't a fan: Kerry Wood.
That's OK. He's probably more of a "Wahlburgers" guy, anyway.
