Orbit's gymnastics floor routine was just a little too late to win Olympic gold
On Sunday, Great Britain's Max Whitlock won the Olympic gold medal for men's floor exercise. It was a big deal: Whitlock is the first British gymnast, ever, to stand atop the podium. But please, do not tell Orbit. He still thinks he has a chance:
Debuting the routine before the Astros' 8-2 loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday, Orbit was clearly hoping the judges at the Rio games would see his, uh, spirited performance.
You can watch the whole thing above and wonder what could have been. Whitlock might have made history for Britain, but the world will still have to wait to see its first extraterrestrial take home the gold.
