Mike Moustakas used ESP (or really ridiculous reflexes) to rob Josh Donaldson of an RBI
Moose robs Donaldson on 114-mph line drive
Either someone's been cross-breeding moose and cats or Mike Moustakas has ESP, because there's no other explanation for Royals third baseman robbing Josh Donaldson of a hit and an RBI on a 114-mph line drive in Game 6 of the ALCS. But that's exactly what he did.
Donaldson and the Jays were trailing, 2-1, when he stepped to the plate with two outs and runners on first and second and smoked an absolute laser to the hot corner.
Moose somehow managed to dive to his left to make the catch and help Yordano Ventura out of the jam:
According to Statcast™, that ball was the third-hardest hit all postseason, and was the hardest ball Donaldson hit in 2015. Oh, and Moose also hit a home run earlier in the game, added a broken-bat bloop single in the seventh and made the play to get the final out of the game because he's a wizard whose power knows no limits.
The Royals went on to win, 4-3, after a rain delay to punch their tickets to a second straight World Series. They'll host the Mets at Kauffman Stadium for Game 1 on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on FOX.
