Mookie Betts may have created peace between the Yankees and the Red Sox with a simple kind gesture. Well, maybe not, but he did something pretty awesome. In the bottom of the second inning during Game 3 of the ALDS on Monday, Giancarlo Stanton hit a foul ball into the right-field stands. A Yankees fan lost his cellphone during the commotion and it landed right in front of Red Sox right fielder Betts. Betts didn't skip a beat and picked up the phone and handed it back to the fan who was ever so thankful:
Betts gave him a high-five and it was back to the game he went. Let's hope the fan's Candy Crush scores were saved.
