Miguel Sano kissed the baseball before throwing to first for the final out on Saturday night
"It was my way of showing emotion and thanking God for the game we had," he said. "It was just my emotions taking over. I was just happy we won. It was such an emotional game. So many ups and downs. We fought hard, stayed in there and showed we could hang with them."
Sano also dropped a popup in the previous game on Friday, so Twins manager Paul Molitor joked, "Somebody said he kissed it because he was glad it was a grounder and not a popup," Molitor said with a laugh. "But I won't say who."
