Wilmer Flores makes twisting, tumbling catch while falling behind tarp
For centuries (or at least a few decades), tarp monsters have wreaked havoc on the baseball world -- whether it's been in Chicago, Colorado or most recently/frighteningly, Pittsburgh. Look at this thing.
LOOK.
During Sunday's Braves-Mets game, third baseman Wilmer Flores decided to fight back. When a foul popup teetered over toward the stands, with a rolled-up tarp looming for any soul who dared to try to make a catch, Flores made an excellent grab -- holding onto the ball even when the monster sucked him into its clutches:
Humans 1, Tarps 0 ... for now.
