The Mets forgot the inning was over after turning one of a team-record-tying five double plays

The Mets were a double-play machine as they turned a team-record-tying five during Saturday's 8-1 victory over the Marlins. So you can forgive the team if all the out-clustering caused them to lose track.
After getting Giancarlo Stanton to ground into an inning-ending double play in the top of the third, the Mets infielders didn't make for the dugout. Instead, they stood out in the field, with even the Mets announcers shouting from the booth that it was time to run off the field.
Cue this sheepish grin from Asdrubal Cabrera:

Though the Mets went on to win, one person wasn't smiling: "Tells you how things have been going, doesn't it?" Mets manager Terry Colins told MLB.com's Chris Bumbaca after the game.
Collins can rest easy, though: Teams do it all the time. In fact, both the Orioles and Tigers weren't aware the inning was over when the two squared off on Aug. 5
