Don't ask Max Scherzer if he's from St. Louis because right now he wants to crush St. Louis into the ground
Maniac Max Scherzer returned for Game 2 of the NLCS on Saturday night against the Cardinals. Once again, he was seething. Once again, he was grunting. And once again, he was masterful. He held St. Louis hitless through six innings, and ended up giving up just one hit, while striking out 11. The Nationals won the game, 3-1, and are now up 2-0 in the seven-game series heading back to D.C.
To say Max was pleased with himself would be an understatement. I think? I think that's what he's feeling here.

Scherzer was also born in a suburb right outside the city of St. Louis and actually grew up a Cardinals fan. That's kinda cool. A nice homecoming story. Right, Max?
Max on whether he thought about the fact he was pitching in his hometown while he was out there today... 🔥 pic.twitter.com/ec8TWuZEds

Hell no. Max is from Winville and nowhere else and don't ask him about anything different because he doesn't care.
