Matt Chapman belted a homer into the fan section at Safeco Field -- and right into somebody's full cup of beer

A's third baseman Matt Chapman entered Friday's 7-4 loss to the Mariners with a .347/.418/.653 line, having smashed four homers and driven in 11 runs so far this season. That, coupled with his strong defense, has helped the 24-year-old post a 1.2 WAR already in 2018. He's also apparently pretty good at hitting targets, as he showed when connecting on a solo homer off Mike Leake in the sixth inning. The ball carried over Dee Gordon's head in center field and into the seats -- specifically, right into (or onto?) a fan's full cup of beer.
Chapman's beer-soaked homer is just the latest from a growing list of suds-smashing displays from Bay Area sluggers, as the Giants' Joe Panik lofted a foul last week that had a similar result.
