Year 2 of the Marlins' Clubbie Olympics is World Baseball Classic-themed

The Clubbie Olympics have gone global.
Keeping with the spirit of the World Baseball Classic, the Marlins dressed up what has now become an annual tradition -- the Clubbie Olympics. In year two of the light-hearted event, the clubhouse attendants and other team employees each wore unitards from a designated country.

The four countries represented were the United States, Mexico, Canada and Japan.
"Trying to break it up a little bit," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said. "Camp can get long."
The Clubbie Olympics were held on Field 2 of the Roger Dean Stadium complex. The players cheered on the clubbies as they participated in a relay-running event, followed by the challenging task of catching a popup wearing catcher's gear.
"It's fun to watch the guys actually get in the gear and do this," Mattingly said. "The players enjoy it. I actually think these [clubbies] enjoy it. They become part of it, all in a group. It's nice."
The Clubbie Olympics provide a bit of levity during the six-week Spring Training camp.
"We'll try to do some different things to lighten things up," Mattingly said. "Break up the routine a little bit."
