Lorenzo Cain scored the first two runs of the Brewers-Dodgers game on Wednesday. His first was on a triple and an error, but his second, in the top of the third, is the one we would like to discuss. Rich Hill threw a wild pitch in the dirt with Jesús Aguilar at the plate. Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal couldn't snag the ball on a hop, and the ball managed to roll toward the first-base dugout and out of his view. This gave Cain ample opportunity to score ... from second base:
The best part was Aguilar not realizing how far away the ball had rolled. He initially didn't think any additional bases were possible, but hen got very excited to wave him in. This gave the Brewers a 2-0 lead and left Cain with a very big smile on his face.
