Korean player flips bat on homer, announcers sing
The Doosan Bears are currently taking on the NC Dinos in a best-of-five-game series in the KBO playoffs. During Monday's Game 2, Doosan batter Oh Jae-Won hit a home run off former MLBer Zach Stewart and, as Korean players are apt to do, flipped his bat like it was attached to a slingshot.
That's not surprising, and it's not even the most enjoyable part.
It's the announcers literally singing Jae-Won's praises as he rounds the bases. Listen below (or click here):
Wonderful. Most players in the KBO apparently have a special song -- usually sung by fans -- but not always by broadcasters.
Unfortunately, we don't see much singing from MLB announcers, although there have been a few attempts at rapping.
