Kirk Gibson autographed his special new Home Run Seat at Dodger Stadium
The Dodgers recently announced something very special for the upcoming season -- a Kirk Gibson Commemorative Home Run Seat, which has been designated in the Right Field Pavilion and marks the landing spot of his iconic homer off Dennis Eckersley in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series.
You know the one:
Gibson will throw out a ceremonial first pitch on Opening Day vs. the Giants, and fans on Saturday will receive a special Gibson home run bobblehead as part of the festivities. As for the Home Run Seat, the Dodgers paired it with the seat adjacent to it for a $300 package for each home game in 2018 -- and already sold out of all of them, with $200 from each sale benefiting Parkinson's Research in honor of Gibson.
Guess who was at the Stadium on Wednesday to christen the Seat with a permanent autograph?
