Kid skips class to call Ian Kennedy from his school bathroom

Education is important. But sometimes, it's also necessary to take some time for yourself -- whether that's on Opening Day or just because you want to talk to your favorite team's offseason signing. 
That's what this intrepid kid did when Ian Kennedy was on the Edward Jones Chatting Cage. Rushing to the bathroom so he wouldn't be caught on the phone, he proceeded to ask Kennedy how he is enjoying Kansas City so far. That's a good question, but with stakes this high, we would have asked something more pressing, like "What's the biggest sandwich you've ever eaten?" But that's not our call. 
As for Kennedy, he's enjoying his time with the Royals. "Kansas City's got everything you need in a big city, but that small-town feel," he said. "Being on this team is incredible."
