We can thank Frank Thomas for getting Ken Griffey Jr. to flip his cap backwards at the HOF

Remember when Ken Griffey Jr. ended his Hall of Fame induction speech by putting on his cap backwards and recreating the iconic look from his playing days? 

Of course you remember. It's a moment seared into the collective memory of baseball. 
Well, we all have Frank Thomas to thank. Griffey described his … let's call it inspiration … for the move while he was in the ESPN broadcast booth during the Yankees' 5-1 win over the Mariners on Tuesday night:
"I have to give that to Frank Thomas. He said, 'You gotta do it. You have to do it.' I was like, 'No,' I wasn't going to do it. And he looked at me, and Frank's a little bit bigger than I am, and he threatened me. And you know he's a veteran of the Hall of Fame, so, you know, as a rookie I have to listen to the veterans."
