Juan Soto hit a 3-run dinger for his first career hit and followed it up with a Bryce Harper hair flip
After striking out in his first MLB appearance on Sunday, Nationals No. 2 prospect Juan Soto made his first career start against the Padres on Monday. You'd think somebody making his first start in The Show might be nervous. Maybe an out, maybe a single, maybe take a few pitches and work a walk.
Instead, Juan Soto hit the first pitch he saw from Robbie Erlin over the left-field fence for a three-run homer:

And even though he doesn't have quite the same mane as Bryce Harper, Soto honored his teammate with a dramatic hair flip. It was beautiful.
Soto told MLB.com's Jamal Collier postgame: "I'm just trying to have fun a little bit with the guys. That's why I did it."
Funny enough, Harper had been the last player to hit his first homer as a teen, back in 2012. It was also against the Padres.
