Javier Baez tumbled over the wall to make an unreal catch and caused a fan to lose some beer

At this point, we all know that Javier Báez is a fun player to watch play defense. From his unparalleled tagging skills -- who knew that was a thing before Baez came along? -- to his ability to improvise, he seems to amaze on a daily basis.
It's no surprise then that Baez found yet another way to make the highlight real in the Cubs' 6-1 loss to the Phillies Tuesday night. Leading off the ninth inning, Odúbel Herrera popped up a pitch into foul territory and Baez covered some serious ground to make the catch ... and then he took a little trip into the seats:

Though the fan nearby put forth a valiant effort to hold on to his drink, he -- like the wall -- could only do so much to halt the shortstop's momentum.
"I was good," Baez told MLB.com's Carrie Muskat. "I didn't hit anything, I just had beer all over me. I was just trying to get up and the fans were trying to help me up. It's all good."
"[The fans] were just really excited and I felt like they were just trying to touch me," he said. "It was great. It was fun. I smelled like beer."
If Baez's catch seems familiar, that's only because he nearly went full Jeter on the play:

That's a lofty comparison, but Baez has definitely earned it.
