Let's watch a Japanese pitcher uncork the wildest pitch you'll ever see
We've all seen wild pitches before. Sure, Major League pitchers are the very best of the best, but sometimes, weird stuff happens. Sometimes you stumble off the mound, or simply fire one juuuuuust a bit outside. Nobody's perfect.
This pitch, though -- delivered by Hirokazu Sawamura of the Yomiuri Giants on Sunday -- isn't just wild. We can say with some certainty that it is the wildest pitch you've ever seen, a pitch wilder than you ever thought possible. That is, unless you thought a pitch unintentionally ending up on top of the opposing dugout was possible:
In Sawamura's defense, he simply lost his grip, and the ball went flying. Still, though: on top of the opposing dugout.
