Jackie Bradley Jr.'s swinging bunt in the All-Star Game just refused to roll foul

Tuesday's All-Star Game presented by Mastercard was highlighted early by booming homers from Kris Bryant, Eric Hosmer and Salvador Perez, though Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. put his name in the running thanks to a very determined baseball.
Facing Johnny Cueto in the second inning of the American League's 4-2 win over the National League, JBJ swung hard and squibbed a dribbler up the third-base line. Cueto and batterymate Buster Posey pursued the ball, but they quickly found themselves in a lose-lose situation.
If Posey grabbed the ball, he'd have a tough time throwing Bradley out at first. He could instead have chosen to let it roll foul. He did just that, with Cueto actively trying to create a breeze to help push it over the line, but ...  

If only Cueto had busted out a Lenny Randle impression, this might have ended differently:

Unfortunately for Bradley, this hit won't bring back the 29-game hitting streak that came to an end in late May -- but it's a pretty solid highlight to add to his resume anyway.
