A good slide can really do wonders to get a baserunner out of a messy situation. A well-executed swim move or improbable leap over a defensive player is all one needs to turn a sure out into a safe call.

Bradley's perfectly-calibrated reaching slide gave the Red Sox their first run in what would become an eight-run -- inning. And, it was all thanks to a well-placed fingertip.
