Nice hands, kid: Islanders prospect Matt Finn barehanded Asdrubal Cabrera's home run ricochet
Among their crop of promising young prospects, the New York Islanders have at least one that now has a home in a baseball highlight reel.
In the second inning of the Mets' 10-2 win over the Cubs at Citi Field on Friday night, infielder Asdrubal Cabrera turned on a Jason Hammel offering and sent it deep to right field. The ball eluded the efforts of right fielder Jason Heyward and landed just over the fence for a home run, but on its bounce down toward the seats a man reached up and made an instinctive barehanded grab.
That man is 22-year-old defenseman Matt Finn, currently among the Islanders' collection of prospects:
The Islanders appear to be treating some of their young players to a summer of New York baseball, as backed up by this photo of some of them at Yankee Stadium earlier this week:

Thanks to his play on Friday, Finn joins an already lofty list of slick barehanded efforts so far this season -- but he's now the first pro hockey-playing one to land there.
