Mike Napoli capped the 10th triple of his career by sliding into third on his face
Mike Napoli, as you may have guessed, is not much of a triples hitter. Entering the Indians' 6-2 win over the White Sox on Tuesday, the first baseman had just 9 in his 11-year career. He's a tater masher. He'd rather bash baseballs into the far reaches of space.
But during the third inning on Tuesday, Napoli gifted the world with a three-bagger and we would very much like it if he hit more of them:
Or, even if he just slid like this into every base.
MLB.com's Cody Stavenhagen asked Terry Francona about the play after the game:
"I don't know if I would consider that a slide. That looked like a car accident."
Francisco Lindor, who didn't see it live, also greatly enjoyed Napoli's effort:
"I didn't see it. I was running to home plate, but then I saw the picture in the dugout. Pretty funny. Then I saw a couple highlights back here in the clubhouse. It's spectacular. There's not too many people who can do that. It takes an athlete to do that."
Here are few more reactions from his teammates:
You won't find a finer slide than this, @MikeNapoli25! pic.twitter.com/nPjrZA3u3l

Later, in the ninth inning, Napoli also stole a base -- the 34th of his career. He is the five-tool player we deserve.
