Ian Happ has been impressive in many ways this season. From the box, he's hit 21 balls out of the park, and from the dugout he's proved he could have a future in reporting. He did, however, have a bit of a snafu on Wednesday night when the Cubs were on the road in Pittsburgh
Against Gerrit Cole, Happ smacked a hard grounder to second base, where Sean Rodríguez made the play at first to get him out. While Happ was hustling his way to first, the bat slipped in between his his legs tripping him up and sending the bat flying toward the heavens. He stayed in the game and appeared to be alright because that's the type of pro he is.
