Chipper Jones naming his kid 'Shea' was the biggest troll move in Hall of Fame history

3 Jul 1999: Chipper Jones #10 of the Atlanta Braves blows his bubble gum during the game against the New York Mets at Shea Stadium in New York. The Braves defeated the Mets 3-0. (Jamie Squire)

Welcome to In Short Order, a weekly look at all the baseball that I like and can't stop obsessing over. We'll mostly live at the edges of the game; at the intersection of the weird, the fun and the esoteric. Oh yeah, and hair.
When his third child was born in 2004, Chipper Jones could have chosen any name in the world. He could have used a baby name book. He could have made one up, perhaps combining teammates' names like, oh, Glavdux or Lemsko (that's a combination of Mark Lemke and Ryan Klesko, natch). Instead, he chose to forever needle the Mets -- his team's fiercest rivals -- with his very progeny.
