Gleyber Torres crashed Didi Gregorius' interview to say he's ready for Spring Training
The Yankees enter 2018 as one of the most intriguing teams in baseball. Their young roster reached the ALCS in 2017, and they beefed up that squad with National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton. On top of that, there's the highly-anticipated arrival of numerous top prospects.
When shortstop Didi Gregorius appeared on MLB Network's Hot Stove on Tuesday, it made sense, then, that top Yankees prospect Gleyber Torres quickly became the subject of the interview.
And, boy, did Torres come bearing good news: He's 100 percent back from Tommy John surgery and has even had his first live batting practice since his injury. Torres will be in the spotlight in Spring Training as he competes for the Yankees' second base job. In other words, this interview could mark the beginning of a long double-play partnership in the Bronx.
