Brandon Belt struck out against catcher Erik Kratz and then made fun of himself on Twitter
In the ninth inning of the Giants' 15-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday night, catcher Erik Kratz came in to pitch. The 36-year-old -- throwing everything from 86-mph fastballs to 82-mph changeups to 52-mph what's-its? -- held San Francisco scoreless. It was his second pitching performance this season (his first was with the Astros in April).
He also had one strikeout: first baseman Brandon Belt.
Postgame, as is wont to happen after a position player pitches, the internet had some fun at Belt's expense:

And Belt knew exactly how to respond:
Apparently not a hitter either https://t.co/YbXaAcWwuI

Beautiful, Brandon. Your weird giraffe-human hybrid fans will be so proud.
