Feeling charitable, Gerardo Parra handed out some gum to a group of fans because why not?
What happens to the leftover snacks baseball players consume during a game? What about the extra sunflower seeds, gum and things of that nature? In the ninth inning of the Rockies' 3-0 loss to the Cardinals on Saturday night at Coors Field, right fielder Gerardo Parra was visiting with the bullpen out on the warning track and had an idea.
Why not just hand out some of the unused gum from the night to the fans sitting right behind the fence under the scoreboard?
Genius idea, really. And considering the woman in the red Cardinals shirt was with a group of five friends, Parra had to make sure to hand out enough for everybody.
Sharing is caring, after all!
