George Springer took a ball and started walking to first base ... on a 2-2 count

Stephen Strasburg had the Astros in a bind during the Nationals' 5-4 win in Houston on Thursday night. He blanked their powerful lineup over six innings of three-hit ball, fanning seven in the process.
One of Strasburg's strikeout victims was George Springer, who faced him in the sixth and thought he had avoided that fate. After a few pitches, a Strasburg offering sailed outside and Springer started walking toward first base.
The only problem? The ball came on a 2-2 count. Springer did not realize this:

Sorry, George, no luck there.
Strasburg promptly struck him out on the next pitch. Oh well.
