Let's all watch George Springer crush a home run completely out of Minute Maid Park
Already up 4-2 in the fourth inning of their game against the Twins on Tuesday, the Astros were looking for some insurance runs with George Springer at the plate. Maybe a single to drive in the runner at third. Perhaps even a sacrifice fly or a hard ground ball to the right side of the infield. Instead, Springer decided to hit the baseball over the train tracks and clear out of Minute Maid Park:
Bat flip well-earned, young George.
Houston went on to win the game, 6-4, and afterwards, MLB.com's Brian McTaggart caught up with the right fielder:
"Obviously, that situation there to get it to four-run lead was obviously clutch for us. I'm just happy that we won and we showed that we can walk and hit and just be who we are."
Oh, and on hitting it out of a baseball stadium:
"It's a pretty cool feeling, you know. But I'm just happy to help us win."
