An independent leaguer shattered the windshield of his own truck with a grand slam
Brandon Thomas -- former Yankees farmhand and current center fielder for the Gateway Grizzlies of the independent Frontier League -- was having himself a pretty good Sunday night. With the Grizzlies trailing the Joliet Slammers, 3-0, in the second inning, Thomas launched a grand slam to give his team the lead for good in 17-6 win.
But the universe is defined by equilibrium. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. And for every clutch grand slam, there's a home run ball that breaks the window of your own truck out in the parking lot:
Can't make this up. @brandonthomas6 hit a grand slam tonight that smashed a windshield. That's his own truck. pic.twitter.com/B1ZqFUyfSe

Luckily, Thomas seems to be OK with everything:

And hey, look on the bright side: At least it wasn't a BMW.
