FOX is developing a pilot about the first woman to play in the Major Leagues
Women have been doing amazing things in just about every facet of baseball lately (and pretty much always), be they prospects, umpires or scouts. And while we've yet to see a female Major Leaguer, it turns out that box will be checked in September -- well, on television, at least.
FOX announced Friday that it had picked up the pilot of "Pitch," which follows a young pitcher as she becomes the first female player in MLB. The show is being produced by Dan Fogelman -- who wrote "Cars" and "Crazy, Stupid, Love" among other films and TV shows -- and stars Kylie Bunbury, who is already flashing an 80 grade pun tool:
We're gonna knock it out of the park!!!... I had to! I HAD to haha could not be more excited if I tried ⚾️⚾️⚾️ https://t.co/Ylt4yAtsxa
