A former MLB player is the star of this season's 'Bachelor Canada'

First things first -- yes, the dating reality show "The Bachelor" has a Canadian version (and a French version, an Australian version, a Vietnamese version … ). This week, the show announced its new leading man: former MLB pitcher Chris Leroux.  

Leroux played parts of seasons with the Marlins, Pirates and Yankees. He also spent a little time in the NPB with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows. It's too bad that the American version of the show already used this "Field of Dreams" promo:

Baseball and "The Bachelor" have always gotten along pretty well. A former Brewers prospect has won the show, and there have been dates at Wrigley Field and Citi Field. Of course, Leroux is from Montreal, so we can only hope that Youppi will make a surprise appearance:
