Former Houston Rocket Clyde Drexler threw out the first pitch before ALCS Game 6

Moments before Justin Verlander -- the Astros' biggest trade acquisition in 2017 -- took the mound hoping to help his team force a Game 7 in the American League Championship Series presented by Camping World, another notable Houston trade-deadline acquisition threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
That's right: NBA Hall of Famer -- and University of Houston-product -- Clyde "The Glide" Drexler, who helped the Rockets win the 1995 NBA title after coming over from Portland at that season's deadline was on the mound prior to Game 6. Needless to say, his pitch glided right on toward home plate:

Once the game started, Drexler took his seat directly behind home plate, where he could best encourage the home team. Unfortunately, his 6-foot-7 frame forced some fans behind him to adjust their positioning:

Perhaps inspired by Drexler's presence, Verlander gave the Astros seven scoreless innings as he tried to replicate Clyde the Glide's 1995 role as a mid-season addition that propelled a Houston team to a championship.
