Rodney ventures into the Coors Field trees for shade
It was hot inside Coors Field on Wednesday afternoon. We're talking mid-90s with the sun beating down, the kind of hot that makes somebody break a sweat breathing. Certainly much hotter than the low-70s of Seattle. So, instead of baking inside the visitors' bullpen during the Mariners-Rockies matchup, Fernando Rodney ventured into the trees behind center field in search of some shade.
Apparently he found the spot to his liking, because he dragged a chair out and took in the game shielded from the sun's oppressive rays.
That's probably a better idea than trying to challenge the sun in combat -- a challenge players frequently lose. And honestly, it looks like a pretty chill spot to watch a ballgame.
