Endy Chavez robbed a homer in the Venezuelan Winter League and it'll give you 2006 NLCS flashbacks
Endy Chavez last appeared in an MLB game in 2014 with the Mariners, but it's quite apparent the 40-year-old outfielder can still get it done with the glove.
Earlier this week, Chavez paid homage to himself with a home run-stealing catch while playing for Magallanes in the Venezuelan Winter League. And yes, he made it look easy:
Chavez's play looks eerily reminiscent of his jaw-dropping catch over the left-field fence in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS, doesn't it?
What if we told you that Chavez's latest catch (on Oct. 24) came very nearly on the 12-year anniversary of his iconic '06 play (on Oct. 19, 2006)? Wild, isn't it?
Endy can still do it, that's for sure.
