For the second time, Edinson Volquez benefited from a great Jarrod Dyson-Christian Yelich catch
Last August, then-Royals center fielder
You may remember it:
In case you were wondering how that play looked in still image form:
In Wednesday's Marlins-Mariners game at Safeco Field won by Seattle, 10-5, Dyson -- now a member of Seattle's outfield -- hit a deep fly ball to center ... where Yelich got him back for last season's robbery with some downright thievery of his own:
Thanks to some alert photography and strong zoom, here's a close-up of Yelich imprinting himself in the center-field fence post-catch:
After the game, Yelich commented on his technique with a tweet:
Break your fall with your Face...not recommended https://t.co/lM7XL85Uz9

There's a special twist to this situation that makes this a rather amusing set of circumstances:
Cap-tip to both fielders for some ridiculous defense, but also kudos to Volquez for the good fortune -- and for obviously inspiring his teammates to reach new heights in terms of jaw-dropping glovework.
