Derek Jeter's little nephew had a very important and adorable question for his uncle
Derek Jeter's number retirement ceremony came with quite the fanfare this week: There were best play brackets, late show appearances and the star-studded ceremony on Sunday night. It was official -- nobody on the Yankees would ever wear No. 2 again.
Still, that didn't stop Jalen Jeter, Derek's nephew and one of The Captain's biggest fans, from asking his uncle if he can wear his number when he puts on the pinstripes 20 years from now. Watch him adorably ask the question below:

A harsh "Nope" from Uncle Derek, but then a compromise soon after. How can you say no to a kid like this?
All we have to say as we get ready to retire Number 2 this evening is thank you, Captain. #RE2PECT pic.twitter.com/tmhtxcDsYP
